The REACH-like regulations were published for the first time on the 26th of December 2008 and entered into force on 1st January 2009 in Turkey and is called Inventory and Control of Chemicals (CICR). For all existing and new chemicals manufactured or imported into Turkey and the ones above 1 tonne per annum has the obligation to notify to the Ministry of Environment and Forest to be listed in the inventory list. The deadline for this extension was 10th November 2009 and was an extended couple of times and was allowed up to 31st March 2011.
